A Family Day At Our Favorite Pond

Today we took a family day at our favorite pond to get in some fishing. The water was dirty and higher than usual. A couple of hours worth of fishing with minnows and crappie jigs only presented us with a few bites.

Todays weather provided us with a blazing hot temperature of hot fifty-seven degrees, and cloudy skies with wind blowing out of the north-west around twelve miles per hour.

Todays barometric pressure was around thirty and rising while the dew point was around 46. I'm not sure, but this may be why the fish weren't biting this afternoon. I plan to begin keeping track of the pressure and dew point levels. With this information it should be noticeable if there is a pattern of fishing activity with varying readings.

At the end of the day my wife had only landed one fish, but that enough to beat the rest of us. I may have to get used to getting skunked if she's going to keep this up....

It may or may not be noticeable that Emilee broke her hand in three places this past It seems as though you just can't keep a good fisherwoman down. She insisted that she could fish with only one useable hand and has made the best of the situation today..... Impressive!
